Sometimes life feels heavy, and it’s not always easy to make space for stillness. This meditation offers you a quiet space to reconnect with the light within you and the gratitude that can bring peace to your heart. Led by Jyothi V. Robertson, this practice invites you to rest in the gentle warmth of light and gratitude, creating a soft space for relaxation and reflection.

You might begin by imagining a warm, golden-yellow light, glowing softly just outside your body. With each breath, this light gradually moves inward, offering comfort and peace as it touches areas of tension or stress. As it moves through you, feel the warmth easing any heaviness, starting at your face and gently flowing down, filling your body with a calm sense of ease. There’s no need to rush —just allow the light to settle naturally, inviting a sense of relaxation and stillness.

As the light surrounds you, you may begin to feel gratitude stir within you. You might think of the people, experiences, or moments in your life that bring you joy. With each breath, feel your heart fill with appreciation for these blessings, no matter how big or small. In this space of gratitude, allow the light to grow — extending outwards, offering kindness and warmth to those around you who may need it, whether they are loved ones or strangers.

The meditation gently closes with an offering: send this light of gratitude to the world, sharing the warmth and compassion you’ve cultivated. It’s a simple, quiet act of generosity — no need to do anything, just let it flow.

This meditation is an invitation to reconnect with the light inside you, to appreciate the gifts in your life, and to send that gratitude out into the world. It’s a moment to soften, to reflect, and to embrace a sense of warmth and peace. The Journey You Own Meditation Gathering is a free, sitting meditation session designed to offer a shared, supportive space to explore grounding practices.

Sessions are held online via Zoom and take place on Tuesday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and Saturday mornings.

These are low-key sessions, and you are free to join with your camera on or off. There’s no expectation to speak unless you’d like to share.
