A new season can bring a particular kind of energy. You might feel ready for movement, change, and bold choices, while still needing steadiness underneath it all. This practice was shared during the week of Chinese New Year and Losar, Tibetan New Year, using the image of the fire horse to explore courage and forward motion, held by something quieter: grounding, roots, and support.

What to Expect

In this practice, you are invited to visualize the Fire Horse however it appears to you. The horse appears as swift, powerful, and filled with the heat of courage. Rather than simply embracing speed or intensity, the meditation explores how courage can be balanced by stability.

Where in your life is bold movement needed? Where might passion ignite curiosity or creativity? Is there a conversation waiting to happen, an action waiting to be taken?

At the same time, the practice invites discernment. Fire can be powerful, but without grounding it may burn too quickly. The imagery of earth and even water meeting fire introduces balance. Swift action tempered by steadiness creates sustainable courage.

As the meditation moves toward completion, the imagery transforms into intention. Whatever surfaced for you, whether bold action, creative spark, or grounded steadiness, is shaped into an aspiration for the year ahead. This wish may extend to yourself, your family, or your wider community.

The practice concludes by dissolving imagery and resting in open awareness, allowing the experience to settle without effort.
