Grounded in Intention

So much of how we begin our day shapes the energy we carry forward. Before diving into the to-do lists and responsibilities, this morning meditation offers a space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with your deeper sense of purpose. It’s an invitation to start from stillness, to arrive fully in your body before stepping into the day ahead.

The practice begins with three cleansing breaths, releasing any lingering tension from the night or early morning. As you settle into your seat, you’re guided to notice the support beneath you and to find your physical and emotional center. From this place of balance, the breath becomes your anchor, gently drawing you into awareness.

Next, you are invited to reflect on your intention. In this meditation, intention isn’t about achieving or doing, it’s about being. How do you wish to show up for yourself, for others, and for the world? This reflection includes not just the intention itself, but also your underlying motivation, your why. What inspires you to move in alignment with your values? What needs releasing so that you can show up more fully?

Once your motivation and intention are clear, the meditation guides you toward setting an aspiration, a wish or commitment for the future. You may visualize yourself living this aspiration, or simply rest in the feeling of alignment it brings. The session then returns to the body and breath, closing with stillness and gratitude.

As always, the practice begins and ends with a bell, a gentle cue to settle into presence and later return with awareness.

  • How do I want to show up for myself and others today?
  • What aspiration feels most aligned with who I’m becoming?
