As the day winds down, our minds often hold onto thoughts, worries, and emotions that weigh us down. In this guided meditation, Jyothi V. Robertson invites you to gently release those burdens, step into stillness, and open to lightness and gratitude.
The practice begins with the breath, softly noticing the qualities of each inhalation and exhalation, while relaxing areas where tension often resides: the jaw, shoulders, chest, and legs. This grounding helps you settle into your body, creating the foundation for a deeper letting go.
From there, Jyothi guides you into a visualization. You imagine walking along a twilight path with a lantern in hand. As you take each step, you place pebbles, symbols of your thoughts, onto benches along the way. With every pebble released, your steps grow lighter, and your body feels less burdened. This gentle practice helps you see how letting go can create space for openness and ease.
Eventually, you arrive at a clearing beneath a vast sky filled with stars, a reminder of the universe’s expanse and the stillness available to you in any moment. Here, you are invited to rest, dissolve the visualization, and simply be present in open awareness. The meditation concludes with a practice of gratitude, encouraging you to honor the people, experiences, or circumstances that bring meaning and light to your life.
This meditation is especially supportive at the end of the day. It helps you lay down what no longer serves you so you can move forward with clarity, stillness, and a lighter heart.
