Morning can arrive fast. Before you have even started your day, your mind might already be running. Planning, replaying, worrying, reaching for what is next. This practice offers a different kind of start. It helps you come into the steadiness of your body first, then meet your thoughts with curiosity, so you can understand what they are carrying, and what you are ready to set down.

In this practice, you ground into the body first, then observe morning thoughts with curiosity, noticing how mental energy shows up physically, and letting the earth hold what you are carrying.

“Our thoughts carry both a mental and physical energy with them.”

That is one of the core invitations here. You do not just notice thoughts as ideas. You notice how they land in the body. This practice helps you see the link between mental patterns and physical experience, without judgment, and without needing to make the thoughts go away. As always, the practice begins and ends with a bell, a gentle cue to settle into presence and later return with awareness.

After listening, you might reflect on:

  • What thoughts had the strongest pull on my energy today?
  • Where did I feel my thoughts in my body most clearly?
  • What would it look like to let the earth hold one worry for me today?
